For the models

This page is dedicated to all the wonderful models and young women that want to be.

Do not go on photo shoots in with photographers you don't know or havn't been checked out. Ask to see their drivers license and Look them up on the net. Leave a copy with someone along with the location of the shoot.

Never go to remote locations with strangers no matter how nice they seem to be. Allways talk to your family and friends about the shoot and make darn sure they know the who, what , when and where. A real photographer won't mind any of this and will show him how smart you are.

Do not go alone and make sure several people know where you are and the name of the photographer you are with at all times. There is never a reason for a photographer to be alone with you.

I want to be a Model

Contrary to what people think, modeling is not easy, is hard work and takes time to get good at it. You don't have to be tall or skinny for most kinds of photos.

A great and charming smile is much more important. Acting experience is important even though it is “only” pictures. and if you don’t have any experience in this field it is important that you want to learn it.

About nudity: We never do any nude shoots and I do not think it's a good idea for a young woman to be photographed nude. All people look better with clothes don't you agree?

Model preparations before a shoot

Basic preparations are essential for getting good pictures. I (the photographer) will do my very best to get the best out of the shoot and most of our shoots have taken very long time to plan, so don’t be a ….. and show up all hung-over and looking like a mess.

What is a model release used for?

Don't be afraid to sign one but read it first. The photographer must have it to sell your pictures. Without it he and you are wasting your time.

Most professional or international models have signed model releases many times, but for new models this aspect can feel a little uncertain. When you are asked to sign a model release, take your time to read it through and ask any questions you may have to the photographer or film-maker on the set. Even though the model release is written in a very formal language, try to remember that basically this is just a contract that formally allows the photographer to use the pictures he is taking of you.

When a model signs a model release she or he acknowledges that images or movies with her or him in them will be used for commercial purposes around the world.

The images and movies cannot be used for just anything, and the agencies that sell images, known as stock agencies, have a long set of “user rights and restrictions” that protects the model and the photographer from abusive usage of the material. The restrictions are very tight, so abusive usage almost never happens.
