7 Reasons to Buy a Digital Camera

By Lindsay Adams

Looks like Samsungs new Digital Cameras are going to be the best deal yet this year if the prices are low enough. Even though they arn't known for cameras much in the photo world they are known to make quality products in other areas.

The best digitals up till now use the micro four thirds system unless you have deep pockets. Mostily SLRs have this large sensor but some new higher priced point and shoots have them also. I'm kinda tired of people being fooled by high pixel counts in point and shoot cameras, read more...

If you really are serrous about photography then make sure any camera you buy has a Micro Four Thirds sized sensor at least no matter the type or brand of camera. The reason is for shadow and highlight detail. You do want to photograph at night don't you?

1. To Learn: Everyone wants to buy a digital camera this year.  Did you know you can learn photography much faster with today's Digital Cameras. Not only will you learn faster but your pictures will be much better than the average person took years ago. Why? Because you will have far more control than before.

2. More Practice: Another reason you should buy a digital camera is the ability to get tons more practice then anyone even pros. ever got with film. You can take thousands of photos anytime you want and the more you take the better you get just like anything else in life.

3. Cost: Think about it, only a few years ago a photographer would probably use a good 35 mm camera and plan a weekend of shooting. So far so good, but now it's time to buy the film so it's off to the store to fork over around five bucks a roll for 36 exposures and that doesn't include possessing. It would cost hundreds of dollars to get the kind of experience a good digital camera provides for free if you take advantage of that fact.

4. Results: So no matter how much you pay to buy a Digital camera it is a total bargain if you remember that old saying that practice makes perfect and shoot lots of pictures and learn from the results. It's still not easy because only you can you can get out there and work at it all day. Get some friends to help and shoot portraits in all kinds of lighting.

5: Profit: Get a book and try to duplicate the shots in your niche. Shoot a clubs members or a big event for free and charge for prints. No matter if it's a point and shoot or an SLR digital camera it's a huge bargain compared to a few years ago if you take advantage of it. Make yourself some cash and pay for the camera and lots of other stuff.

6. Career: So if you want to be a pro or just be a really good photographer then get out there and shoot lots of pictures.

7. Video Production: Shoot your own production in HD video. You don't need a camcorder because the new Digitals shoot great HD video.

Learn to look harder!

I dare you to shoot 500 pictures this weekend in your backyard. Shoot everything in sight every way you can think of. Don't stop until you drop, then head for photoshop. The idea is to buy a digital camera and learn to use it in a restrictve setting that will force creativity.
